Ben Arthur/The Cobbler

Once at our campsite after the distillery, we got talking to a great couple from Glasgow who recommended that rather than walk Ben Lomond (I'd done it before), Ben Arthur or the Cobbler as it's more often called, was a much more picturesque and quiet trek. We weren't expecting it to be a difficult hike, so we prepared a light lunch and small bottles of water to keep us going. However, it was much higher than we expected - all 860m from sea level. But our friends were right, it was a stunning walk and left us with incredible views back over the Trossachs National Park and out to sea.
